Notice:  No less than seven military-service organizations and veteran-friendly businesses―including The Home Depot Foundation, ServiceSource Warrior Bridge, Hillsborough County Veterans Services, American Legion Post 152, RL Holman Construction, JDog Junk Removal, and The Washkewicz Family Foundation­―combined resources to enable a true American patriot to live more independently and age-in-place in his own home with comfort and dignity. 


Hats off to these entities and the leadership of Home Depot’s Jennifer Taylor, Jennifer Harris, and Efren Gonzalez, and Team Depot volunteers for a marvelous gestures of appreciation.

December 15 - ALA Cookie walk

The ALA will have their annual cookie walk for 8 - 12.


December 15 - Wreaths Across America @ Bushnell

Join us on National Wreaths Across America day.  Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day, this organization's mission to Remember, Honor and Teach is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as at more the 1,400 additional locations in all 50 US states, at sea and abroad. December 15 - Car Wash

The Scouts will hold a car wash from 8:30 - 12:30.


December 19 - SAL Dinner

Meatloaf, roast potatoes, veggie, salad and dessert served from 6 PM for $7.00 by Cliff with a lot of help.


December 21 - Christmas Basket Assembly

Food baskets for the needy will be assembled starting at about 7 PM. Volunteers needed.  See Theresa Zipler for more information.


December 22 - Deliver Christmas baskets

Christmas baskets will be delivered.  Volunteers needed.  See Theresa Zipler for more information.


December 22 - Kids Christmas Party

The ALA will sponsor their annual Kids Christmas party from 1-3 PM.


December 22 - Adult Christmas Party

Join us for some fun at the adult Christmas party. Wear your ugliest sweater and win a prize. Finger food available. Covered dishes welcome.


December 24 - Christmas Eve

The lounge will be open from 1-5 PM


December 25 - Christmas Day

The lounge will be open from 1 - 8 PM.  Bonnie will provide free creamed turkey over biscuits and ham. Side dishes welcome from 2 PM until ?


December 26 - Commander's Dinner

Scalloped potatoes with ham by Armond, dessert by Bob Lehmiller served from 6 PM for $7.00.


December 31 - New Years Eve Party

Live music by The Encore Band, finger food provided, midnight toast. No cover charge.


January 2 - Commander's Dinner

Church Supper Spaghetti, roles, and salad by Armond served from 6 PM for $7.00.


January 5  - Birthday/Milestone Celebration

Celebrate the birthday of all whose Birthday is in December.  8 PM. See Paula Smith for more details.


January 9 - ALA Dinner

Cuban pork, yellow rice, black beans, salad, home baked guava, cream cheese pastries by Phyllis. Served from 6 PM for $7.00


January 19 - Car Wash

The Scouts will hold a car wash from 8:30 - 12:30.


January 23 - SAL Dinner

ALA dinner. Served from 6 PM for $7.00


 January 26 - Pig Throw Down

Two Master Pig chefs will compete for "Best tasting Pig". You will get a generous portion of smoked and roasted pig along with baked beans, corn on the cob for only $10.00


January 30 - ALA Dinner

Dinner by Kathy with proceeds going to children and youth served from 6 PM for $7.00


The American Legion Centennial Celebration is not only about honoring the past 100 years of our history, but also preparing to continue our legacy of service. Events and activities at posts all around the world will showcase The American Legion "Still Serving America."
