The American Legion Centennial Celebration is not only about honoring the past 100 years of our history, but also preparing to continue our legacy of service. Events and activities at posts all around the world will showcase The American Legion "Still Serving America."

October 20 - Theme Night

The theme for October 20th is "Pajamas".  Wear you favoite PJs to Ms.T's Karaoke just for fun.  (PJs in good taste please.)

 

October 21 - Car Wash

Troop 246 will have a car wash from 8:30 to 12:30.

 

October 21 - Oktoberfest

The Auxiliary is hosting an October fest featuring Bratwurst, Sauerkraut, Red Cabbage, German Potato Salad and Apple Cake. Tickets are $10.00 each please join us for this evening of fantastic German fare, we hope to have a sellout. 6:00 PM

 

October 25 - SAL Dinner

Lasagna dinner by George H served from 6 - 7 PM $7.00.

 

October 28 - Kids Halloween Party

Kids Halloween Party from 1- 3 PM sponsored by the ALA.

Adult Halloween costume party.  Prizes will be $25.00 for 1st place, $20.00 for 2nd place and $10.00 for 3rd place, finger food. 8 PM -?

 

November 8 - ALA Dinner

Cuban pork, black beans & rice, Cuban bread and dessert. Dinner by ALA served from 6 - 7 PM $7.00.

 

November 10 - Salute to Veterans

Sickles AFJROTC will conduct a "Salute to Veterans" ceremony starting at 9:00 AM. There will be a limited breakfast after the ceremony.

 

November 11 - Veterans Day

Veterans Day Parade on Hanley RD.

After the parade, BBQ will be provided by Pepper Contracting. View last year's BBQ here. (Turn up the volume).

Free haircuts for Veterans from 2 - 4 PM on the padio. First come - first served.

 

November 15 - SAL Dinner

Chicken on a stick by George H. served from 6 - 7 PM $7.00.

 

November 18 - Car Wash

Troop 246 will have a car wash from 8:30 to 12:30.

 

November 23 - Thanksgiving Day

Join us for a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner served from 1 - 4 PM.  Lounge opens at 11:00 AM.

 

November 24 - Bonnie's Dad's Birthday Party

Music by the Harvey Jones Band. Food  and cake will be provided. 5 - 8 PM. Followed by Ms. T's Karoake.

 

November 29 - ALA Dinner

Chicken and noodles by Carol Bauer served from 6 - 7 PM $7.00.

 

December 6 - Commander's Dinner

Dinner by Theresa served from 6 - 7 PM. $7.00.

 

December 9 - Car Wash

Sickles AFJROTC will conduct a car wash for 8 - Noon.

 

December 9 - Cookie Walk

The ALA will have their Annual Cookie walk. Come enjoy the great baked goods.

 

Dec 13 - ALA Dinner

Dinner by the ALA served from 6 - 7. $7.00

 

December 15 & 16  - Christmas Baskets

Assemble Christmas Basket on Friday the 15th starting at 7:00 PM. Deliver to the needy on Saturday the 16th.

 

Decemeber 16 - Kids Christmas Party

Kids Christmas party. Details TBD.

 

December 24 - Christmas Eve

Lounge closes at 6:00 PM

Dinner by George served from 6 - 7 PM. $7.00

Live music by The Terry Cole Show. Finger food, party favores. No cover charge.

 

January 3 - Commander's Dinner

Commander's dinner by Theresa served from 6 - 7 PM. $7.00

 

January 9 - Life Line Screening

The majority of strokes can be avoided through preventive screening programs. Since half of all strokes and 75 percent of all abdominal aortic aneurysms occur with no symptoms, it's a import to get screened. Life Line will schedule all the appointment times for the tests through their Call Center via our 800 number. All of members who schedule through this number will receive $10 off of the screening packages. 

Life Line Screening will provide this important service starting at 9:00 AM.  See the flier here.

 

January 10 -ALA Dinner

Dinner by the ALA served at 6:00 PM for $7.00.

 

January 20 - Car Wash

The Boy Scouts will hold a car wash from 8:30 - 12:30.
